As one of the oldest and most trusted bookmakers, both online and in the physical world, Ladbrokes are a good outlet to consider for any sport. Prices are going to be strong no matter what event you’re looking to punt on and customers can usually pick up some price boosts and other promotions to add to that value.
Ladbrokes have also sponsored some of the biggest darts tournaments on the calendar so it’s a sport that they take very seriously. If you like a punt on the arrows, here’s what you can look forward to at this long-established bookie.
18+ and T&Cs apply
Ladbrokes are usually one of the first bookies to declare prices for outright tournament betting so there’s always the option to get some value in the long-term ante post markets. In the case of the really big events such as the PDC World Championships, those odds will usually be available 12 months in advance of the next renewal.
Other long term tournament bets such as Nine Dart finish and Highest Checkout will also appear but these will be listed much closer to the start of the event. When those tournaments get underway, match betting is supplemented by a whole host of side markets including Correct Score, most 180s and many more.
At Ladbrokes, the only markets that tend to be unavailable are the more obscure ones such as the colour of the double that closes out the first leg. If you prefer to focus on the popular bets then there’s plenty of choice.
All of the main odds comparison sites will seek to include Ladbrokes as it gives them credibility. In turn, that means that we can easily check that we are getting top value from all of our darts betting. What you will find here is consistently good prices that are never out of step with the rest of the industry
Those strong prices can be found right across the board and if there is one market where Ladbrokes are really out on their own then it’s the Correct Score section. Frequently they are there with the highest industry prices in this market but to confirm, there is great value here across all areas of darts betting.
Unlike some other bookmakers, Ladbrokes will not overlook the smaller events. Like all outlets, their main focus is on the PDC division and their markets will be more extensive for the top tournaments here including the World Championship and the Premier League.
Other events such as the Masters and the World Series will also receive wide coverage and all of the betting options that we’ve mentioned above should be made available for all the events on the PDC calendar.
The BDO code isn’t overlooked however and although the standard in this division isn’t quite so high, the tournaments here still attract plenty of interest from the darts betting community. The BDO World Championships is played out at the start of January every year and there are smaller events taking place from then onwards. Happily, Ladbrokes are firmly behind both of the codes so you should never be short of a betting option.
Ladbrokes has sponsored a number of top darts tournaments in the past and at the time of writing, the operator is currently behind the World Series of Darts in a deal that was first signed in 2018.
For the 2017 renewal of this event, the bookmaker and headline sponsor issued an enhanced odds offer for new customers with 25/1 on the table for any 180 to be thrown in the final.
That was clearly a generous deal that landed for new account holders and while there is no guarantee moving forward, it may well come along again for the World Series and any other events that Ladbrokes are sponsoring.
Beyond those high priced deals, Ladbrokes will also issue regular darts price boosts for those that have already signed up as customers. These lifts will be much smaller than the new customer offer that we’ve just seen but the terms will be more flexible with no fixed stake and payment made in cash rather than free bet tokens.
Ladbrokes’ generic offers tend to focus on football plus greyhound racing and horse racing so the price boosts are the best way to go in order to find that extra value.
And, as we always say, the best bookmakers are the ones that combine value and choice to the best degree and that’s why we believe Ladbrokes are right up there as one of the best darts betting companies around.
